Dr. Martens is a fellowship-trained retina surgeon specializing in the diagnosis and management of complex vitreoretinal diseases. She completed her medical training and residency in Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of British Columbia, followed by a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the University of Alberta. She is certified as a Diplomate by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
In addition to her surgical practice, Dr. Martens is passionate about medical education and actively teaches medical students, residents, and fellows. She is dedicated to advancing the field of ophthalmology through mentorship and knowledge-sharing.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Martens enjoys skiing, traveling, and spending time with her family.
